Best wishes for 2025!
ICE SAS participates to the Ringo project of RTE (Réseau de Transport d’Électricité), an electricity storage experiment initiated by RTE and its partner Nidec ASI in Côte-d'Or.
The Ringo “virtual line”, designed by RTE, consists of a simultaneous battery storage-retrieval system at a point on the grid, where lines are congested and absorb a large proportion of variable renewable energies.
The tested batteries have a storage capacity of 12MW/4MWh, equivalent to the output of five wind turbines or the consumption of 10,000 households. The experiment will take place over three years (from 2020 to 2023).
